Have Faith in God; Card

Howdy.  I'm still struggling with this new updated photo program.  I'm not too big on change.  Well, that's not completely true.  I'm not too big on change I don't understand.  I really can't embrace change that I don't understand, or can't rally behind the application.
Anyways, I made a card for a few challenges.
I stopped by Mojo Monday to get a sketch.  That way I have a starting point.  I needed to look at the 'elements' in the sketch to start my brain storming.

The half circle is perfect for a doily or a large blossom.  The rectangle piece is perfect for a sentiment.
Now, I need a color combo and possibly a little more inspiration.  So, I stopped by {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge to see both the colors and inspiration.  Love their new challenge.

I love this pale minty green color they used for the gems.  And the creamy vanilla color of the frosting is perfect to pair with all things vintage.  {smile}
I also stopped by Word Art Wednesday to see what they had for a sentiment.  And super happy I did.

and here is what I created:

Recipe:  I used kraft card stock from Paper Trey Ink.  Love their heavy weight card stock; very sturdy, and easy to use in die cuts.  I used a light weight card stock from CTMH (not sure of the color, I only had a scrap left).  I layered two different, but beautiful pattern papers.  The minty floral pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  It's probably 5/+ years retired.  But I just love the minty pale vintage color.  And the off white floral pattern reminds me of vintage wall paper.  The blue and white text paper is from LemonCraft, their Forget Me Not collection.  (LemonCraft, is an eastern European paper company.)
I simply adhered these two pattern papers together, and added a single border stitch with my sewing machine.  I think it helps add a vintage, home spun look to the card.
I had a 4" burlap doily from Maya Road, left over from a project last year, so I cut it in half and adhered it to the front of the card.  I used hot glue to adhere the mint lace blossom from Prima, their Coffee Break collection, to the center of thee burlap doily.
I used some minty blue-green seam binding (Aquarelle) to make a double bow.  I added a 'gem' brad to the center.  The gem brad is from Paper Studio Spare Parts line.
I printed the sentiment onto whisper white card stock by Stampin' Up! and matted it to a scrap piece of CTMH card stock.  Viola!  I'm super happy with how it came out.  Just wish I could add some text to the photo.  :/
Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have been inspired the play along with any/all of these challenges.  {smile}

LemonCraft - Heart Painted

Howdy {smile}.  I love pretty pattern paper and beautiful embellishments.  I also, love unique, products.  And that is why I have an account @ LemonCraft.  This creative company is across the pond.  All the way in Poland.  Yeah, Poland.  My DH picked up my package from the post office today, and asked, 'Couldn't find anything in this country?'  And this product line is simply gorgeous!  I have downloaded a few images, only because my photography skills are super limited, and wouldn't do them justice.  So, without any more delay, here are some of the products I purchased.  {smile}

Let's start with the pattern paper:

the coordinating ribbon:

the coordinating brads:

and some flair buttons:

I have also purchased some paper blossoms, other flair buttons, and some pearl beads, some faceted enamel dots, and resin roses.  So, stay tuned!  I'm pretty anxious to craft something with these beautiful products!

Simply Thank You

Busy, busy, busy.  But I imagine you are too!  So, this post will be a bit short, and to the point.  I will have more to share soon.  {smile}
For those who have been waiting on my Explosion Box Card, ugh.  That project has been push to the back burner.   Not that I don't want to make this project.  I am just second guessing my products for this year's Spring Craft fair.  Sorry.  I hope to either finish it, or make more.  {smile}
I need to make a few more items for my Etsy shop, here.  So, I broke out some beautiful pattern paper from Poland: Lemon Craft: Forget Me Not.  I used the current sketch from Mojo Monday.
sketch:

and here is what I made:

here is the recipe:  I used Lagoon card stock by Stampin' Up! for the card base.  Love this color of blue, and I think it really works well with the blue blossoms on the pattern paper.  I adhered the pattern paper of forget me not blossoms and white music scores to the same size whisper white card stock, by Stampin' Up!.  I then added a simple machine stitch border to this paper.  I wrapped a strip of gold satin ribbon around this panel and adhered it to the front of the card.
The smaller/focal panel was created with a different pattern paper.  I matted this paper onto a pool party card stock, by Stampin' Up!.  I added a simple machine stitch border to this panel, also.
I had a left over canvas tag on my craft table, and a scrap piece of a thin cream crochet trim, so I sewn them together. {smile}
For the blossom, it is actually made from Very Vanilla satin ribbon, by Stampin' Up!  It is twisted and tucked.  I added two card stock leaves to this blossom.  I hot glued the blossom to the canvas tag.  I tied a multi-loop bow with pool party seam binding, by Stampin' Up!.  I added a short length of crochet trim behind the bow and tied to the tag with a thin piece of white tulle.  I used the tulle to tie the white vintage button, from Paper Trey Ink.
The banner piece was made with a 1/2" short piece of shimmer white card stock, by Stampin' Up!.  I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and inked with Soft Suede classic ink, both by Stampin' Up!.
And to give my card its finishing touch, I added a trio of marshmallow white faucet sequins.
Thank you for looking.  I am heading back into my craft room, to work with some beautiful pattern paper from American Crafts.  It's not a company I work with, a lot.  But they have this gorgeous pattern paper I am anxious to work with.  {smile}

Patience

Howdy! I hope you had a good weekend.  We celebrated Labor Day, yesterday, here in the United States of America.  I had a wonderful weekend.  I did about everything I set out to accomplish.  So that always feels good.
I created a card during my break from 'work' (aka my paying job) and did some crafting.  So, that always makes me smile! {smile}
A lovely lady, Karen L. had posted the sweetest compliment ever! on a recent post, and suggested that I give her card challenge (Word Art Wednesday) a go.  So, I did.  But, before I show you what I made, I have to admit, that I needed a bit of direction on my creation.
I stopped by one of my favorite sketch challenge sites, Cardabilities and here is this weeks sketch:

I don't know about you, but I am a FAN of the banner.  Love it.  Don't know exactly why, but I do.
And here is this weeks challenge over @ Word Art Wednesday (challenges inspired by God's word):

and here is what I created:

I was touched by the write up of the verse.  I don't know about you, but I really do need to learn to slow down, be patient, and give thanks for the moment.  I finally used this beautiful pattern paper I purchased from Poland - Lemon Crafts.  I used the pattern paper and paper blossoms from the collection.  I used a scrap piece of white trim, and white seam binding.  I created a simple bow, die cut some leaves, and distressed the blossom petal tips with white distress paint and diamond glitter.  I did some machine stitching (zig zag) to adhere the trim and seam binding to my banner piece.  I sponged all the edges of paper (pattern and solid card stock) with crumb cake classic ink.  I added a trio of sequins and tiny half faux pearls.
The card is too bulky to fit in an A2 size envelope, so I decorated a large glassine bag to hold the card.  And yeah, this little gem will be for sale in my Etsy shop, HERE.
I hope your week is good.  And don't forget to appreciate what you have, where you are, who loves you, and have patience with everyone around you.

Forget Me Not

Thank you for returning.  I have been seriously preoccupied and I haven't been available to post, let alone craft.  Hopefully, I have a few life requirements satisfied, and this will allow me to post more often.  {fingers crossed}
I made a purchase from Poland a few weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised to see how fast my order arrived.  I purchased a pattern paper collection along with coordinating paper blossoms and epoxy discs.

here is a look at the pattern paper collection

Forget Me Not Pattern Paper Collection
I am very anxious to work with these pattern papers.  They are just gorgeous!  The images are very clean, with beautiful graphics.  I don't have a photo of the other side of these pattern papers.  Not because they aren't pretty, I just didn't think to do so. {frown}  I know most folks like/love two-sided papers with beautiful graphics on both sides.  Me, not so much.  That just translates to me buy two of the same sheet of paper.

here are the embellishments I purchased

I did purchase two paper blossom bundles.  I photographed these two items on top of Distress card stock.  I wasn't aware that Tim Holtz had created these, and found this textured card stock at a small local scrapbook store.  So, yeah, I purchased two sheets.  This shade of blue really works with my new Forget Me Not pattern paper.
Now, if you would like to purchase your own pattern papers from Lemon Craft, here is a link.  However, please be aware, this shopping site is in Polish only.  I have shopped extensively on the internet, so even though I don't read, write, or speak Polish, I was able to figure out what I needed to do to make my purchase.  I paid for my purchase through PayPal.  For me, that was very easy.

my favorite page

polka dots, text, doilies, and flowers

I have two different projects that I really want to use this pattern paper on.  Let's see which I get done first.  But now, I want to head into my craft room and decorate some stacking boxes.  Stay tuned to see what I create.  And yeah, the final project will be for sale in my Etsy shop.  {smile}

Thank you for looking!
