I like Halloween, but I don't love it. My daughter has always been a big fan and supported of the holiday. I wanted to make a card for her. but, she's grown. I was looking for something grown-up, but not Gothic. I used the House of Haunts stamp set from Stampin' Up! I heat embossed the tree image in black. For the haunted house image, I stamped the image on glossy white card stock. I used a yellow marker to color-in the moon, windows and open door. I wet a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. Then added a few drops of three different re-inkers (elegant eggplant, perfect plum, and lavender lace). I dabbed the inked cotton ball randomly on the glossy white card stock. When you first finish, the colors looked rough. but, once you let the alcohol ink dry, the colors looked better, softer, natural. This is a version of the 'polished stone' technique, but without the metallic ink. Thanks for looking!
