Happy Wednesday! It's a wonderful day for two reasons! One, you're here to enter a chance at winning some blog candy. Two, I'm in Salt Lake City attending the Stampin' Up! convention!
As our nation continues to struggle with economic short falls, some of us have had to take a second job, to help supplement our family income. And as these economic struggles continue, people have had to cut back on 'luxuries' or even eliminated them all together. With any extra time spent 'working' to make a buck, we have less time for ourselves and that translates to less time to dedicate to our hobbies.
Question: As the economic struggles affect us all, have you cut out any paper crafting supplies, or products? If so, what.
My Answer: I have definitely cut back on my paper crafting purchases. I now really question what I purchase. This has caused me to select only high-quality products, and really make those purchases stretch. The one item I have eliminated are pre-made embellishments, mostly flowers. So, I have had to learn to make some embellishments myself. This whole movement of creating hand-made embellishments, has been very rewarding in itself!
Now, it's your turn. Remember, answer the question in the comments, and your name is entered in the drawing for 3 (yes, three) blog candies. One valued @ $50, and two valued @ $25 each. Best of luck to all of you! Oh, and don't forget, you only have today to answer. Comments will be closed Wednesday night.

Unfortunately I have had to cut back a lot. Basically I have just cut back on buying in general. I still buy a little and still do all the crafts I used to, I just can't buy as often as i'd like :(
But you gotta do what you gotta do to get by :)

I just sent you an email, but now blogger is letting me comment. I do not buy as much as I used to, as my DH thinks it is taking over the house!! I have to use up some of what I already have first.
I just wish crafting supplies were available here. However, if they were, I wouldn't have bought embellishments such as flowers & butterflies as I make them myself.
I've definitely had to cut back. I've been entering more contests online, and have been lucky enough to win a few. This replenishes my crafting supplies so I don't have to go out and buy anything!
I have cut back by buying only what I need for class. I have not made any "just because" purchases. I have never won candy before, but I will keep trying!!
I cut back on embellishments, now making alot myself. Also I try to use up everything I already have around my craft room before I go shopping.

I'm not buying as much as I used to with two things in mind; trying to save money and second to use what I have. Thanks for all the inspiration.
I find I keep every little offcut now .... and I also make a lot of my own background papers by colouring with inks and/or copics.
Thanks for your wonderful blog.
