New Design Team

I have some wonderful news.   The upline of Stampin' Up! that I belong to, has created a design team!  Nacho Average Challenges.  And several of us demonstrators who belong to this group are on the design team.   Here are the design team members:

Jenni Hogan - Stampin In The Son
Leilani McGranahan - Lani Stamps
Rose Alexa - RMA stamps 4 U
Sharon Wheet - Designs by Sharon (you are here)
Tammy Fite - Stamp with Tammy

On this challenge blog, Nacho Average Challenges, we will have sketches and color challenges for you use.  We are planning on having a new challenge each week.  The challenge week starts on Tuesdays and ends on Sunday, I believe. So, you will have all week to play along with us.  The only requirement, is that you use Stampin' Up! products in your creation.  And we will do the same.
So, without further ado, here is the FIRST sketch:

Looks fairly easy to work with.  There is a lot of potential for you to add your own flare.  Make it CAS or create layers and add embellishments!  Use any color combo your heart desires.
Here is what I created:

I used pool party card stock as my base.  I stamped the different images from the French Foliage stamp set randomly on the naturals white card stock.  I stamped the flowers from the Field Flowers stamp set, in Summer Starfruit and Wasabi Green classic inks.  The little tag was created with the scallop rectangle die.  I added a little piece of scallop trim border.  I added a small strip of vanilla taffeta ribbon.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso classic ink.
Join us won't you?  There is a linky code for you to upload your challenge submission.  Good luck.  And we can't wait to see what you create!

Sunday Card Club - Big Shot Galore

Here are the two cards we made today in our Sunday card club. We used the Big Shot on just about everything!
#1 - for the card on the right we used the Daisey die to cut out the flowers and deboss them on watercolor paper. Yeah, we made our own letter press plates, how fun! We used a sponge dauber to ink the center of the daises. We used the Tiny Tags stamp set and the Medium Jewelry tag to create the hanging tags. This was a fun and quick card.
#2 - for the card on the left, we used the Big Shot for just about everything! Here is the only part that is not created with the Big shot: to start, we stamped polka dots on the blue panel and used the scallop border punch to give it a decorative edge. For the white panel, we wheeled the Music Notes in Sahara sand classic ink, and sponged the white panel with blushing bride classic ink. The butterfly was made with felted wool placed inside the butterfly emboss lit. To make the heart, we first put the card stock in the lattice embossing folder and the heart shape was created with the heart die. The tag was cut using the lots of tags die set. The little dog is actually a page out of a child's book, and 'color'ed with blender pens. (I purchased the book used for $2, at a local book store.) I made the scallop rectangle shape using the new clear die. The flower was made using the smallest circle from the circle #2 die. I used some material from some fat quarters I purchased at a local fabric store. I used the new half pearls from Stampin' Up! to create the body of the butterfly, and the center of the 'flower'. The ribbon is one of the new twill ribbons from Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking, and as always, please leave a comment!
