Bunco Prizes

Yes, I play Bunco!  And each year, I have a turn at hosting.  My 'prizes' are known, in that, I make all the 'prizes'.  They are generally some form of paper crafting item.  I also do some altering pieces as well.  Each 'prize' comes with a set (4) blank A2 cards, that match the 'prize' in color and scheme.

So, as promised, here are some of the 'prizes' I have made:

I have used products from every paper crafting company out there.  I am very partial to Stampin' Up! products, so those are the most used.  And as an added bonus, I have also made matching Mother's Day cards for each 'prize'.

Vintage Pop-Up Card

I love interactive cards! And that's what this one is. You can actually close the card and mail it. and pull the tab and it pops up! :) My Saturday card club made this card this weekend, and of course we used all Stampin' Up! products. The pink card base was stamped with the Bella Toile background stamp. I thought that it gave this card a little feminine look. The dictionary paper is from the new First Edition DSP. We stamped the Bliss flourish in Basic Gray classic ink. We sponged the paper flower with blushing bride classic ink and frost white shimmer paint. We used one of the definitions from Define Your Life stamp set. The bird from Notably Ornate stamp set was heat embossed with silver embossing powder. When creating this card, I used two different ribbons to keep the card feminine and interesting; crochet trim in Victoria and Very Vanilla Seam Binding.

The 'brown' flower on the front of this card was made with three different hand punches and un-bleached coffee filters. The extra large flower punch, 5-petal flower punch, and boho flowers punch.

Paper Crafters Holiday Gift Exchange

So, for our Nacho Average Stamper holiday gift exchange, we were to make/create something using Stampin' Up! products. The price range is $5-$10. So, nothing too expensive and nothing too cheap. So, here is what I made!

I printed the template for the paper tote onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used the Greenhouse Gala DSP to add some color. I did the trim in Baja Breeze, to help bring out the blues in the tiny flowers. I stamped the definition 'inspire' in Baja Breeze. I chose that definition, because it is one of the home decor elements. And, I love it! I think that as demonstrators, not only do we create, but we also inspire our customers (and blog followers) to create something out of paper, or to use a product in a new way. I had to add the rhinestones! What girl doesn't like bling?

I covered a notebook with the same supplies. The stamp set I used for the flower is Greenhouse Gala, and the 'take note' is from Notable Ornate. I colored the floral image with markers (Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery). And I also created a cover, for a Stampin' Up! notepad. If nothing else, she can use the products in a workshop to jot down notes, names, ideas for workshops, etc. And, she can reproduce the items for hostess gifts! Functional, creative, and inspirational!

Hoot's Got Stamps? Journal

I have a few demonstrators who signed up under me, and I have a 'group'. The name I selected is 'Hoot's Got Stamps?'. We meet once a month to discuss business and to get some feedback from me and the other ladies. December is a super busy month for all of us, so we moved our normal meeting from the 2nd Wednesday of the month, to the 1st Wednesday of the month. That's today! and we also through in our holiday party at the same time!

Here is one of the journals I altered for each of my ladies. I monogrammed each of them, to make this simple gift a little sweeter :) This one is for Caitlin W. The 'C' monogram also works as a book mark. Pretty clever, huh? Well, ok, I didn't invent that, but I remembered to add it. Doesn't that count for something?

I used some Greenhouse Gala DSP, Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and Pear Pizzazz card stock. The 'create' stamp is from 'Define Your Life' stamp set, and the 'take note' is from 'Notable Ornate' stamp set. Sometimes, simple is just beautiful. Thank You Nichole

One my friends l o v e s flowers. So much so, that she has been know to hang out in flower shops and flower districts to get her fill of those beauties. Well, she is also creative and talented. So, when I mentioned that my daughter was getting married and she needed me to do her wedding bouquet, Nichole that me know she was available to help me, if I needed it. Well, we all know where this is heading right? Nichole helped, and she did a fabulous job! I really don't believe I could have done a better job! I want to Thank her, not only for her creativity, but for her generosity in offering to help, and her friendship. I made this card for Nichole.

For this card, all products used are from Stampin' Up! I used the Notably Ornate stamp set, and the Occasional Quotes hostess stamp set. I used the new vintage wallpaper embossing folder on the real red cardstock. I added some crochet ribbon, and made my flower out of cherry cobbler and real red card stock. I added one of the tiny half pearls to the flower's center. I strayed the whole card with Champagne shimmer mist, and the left edge of the card with Log Cabin smooch. I did stray just the flower with the vanilla smooch.
