Birthday Banner

Welcome to my blog.  On this Tuesday, the Nacho Average Challenge site has a sketch for you to try. The sketch is pretty straight forward.  But, I like to 'see' the sketch in a new light.  To help inspire you, and hopefully you will play along with us.  So, without further ado, here is this weeks sketch:

There are a lot of different objects you could use with this sketch: snowflakes, leaves, ornaments, but what about a banner?

What a fun card!  I used Comfort Cafe DSP for the pattern paper.  I used the pennant punch to create the pennants.  I used the modern label punch for the narrow flags.  I used two circle punches for the middle piece (1 1/4" and 1 3/8").  I stamped 'wish big' in basic black classic ink, from the Pennant Parade stamp set.  Each of the pennants for the banner are raised off the card face with dimensional foam tape.
For my sentiment, I used the Blooming with Kindness stamp set.  I stamped this sentiment in basic black classic ink, as well.  I just love the font.  It looks so elegant, and I love how the lines of the letters are slim, not bold or thick.  The card base is crumb cake card stock.  I sponged the edges of the card with soft suede classic ink to help give the edges some definition.
I hope you find some inspiration from the design team @ Nacho Average Challenge, and play along with us.  We would love to see what you create with our sketch!
