Blog-iversary & Blog Candy! #2

Good Morning!  Wow, this is late.  Sorry.
Ok, for a quick re-cap:  My Blog Anniversary is next month, and I want to celebrate by giving away Blog Candy (free stuff).  To be eligible to win you must complete two tasks: 1) sign-up as a follower.  If you already are, cool.  Thank you.  2) post your answer to the Wednesday question entitled 'Blog-iversary & Blog Candy'.  Easy peasy.  All questions are about paper crafting.

Today's question:  What is your favorite cardstock?  By this, I mean, plain cardstock; solid colors.
Mine:  I love the weight and feel of Stampin' Up! solid cardstock.  Because of the weight, you can create all sorts of projects with it, and it won't crumple or fold when you don't want it to.  However, the white and vanilla cardstock are a bit light in weight for my taste.  So, my favorite heavy weight white/vanilla cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink.

Hi Sharon! I love Stampin' Up!'s cardstock as well. The smooth not textured. I actually like the thickness of the whisper white though I use another company's white if it is the actual cardbase. A lot of times though, I just use the white and vanilla for my images. :)

I don't often order crafting supplies online, so I never tried PTI or stampin' up. I'm left with what the craft store offers. At Michael's I actually use their Recollections brand. It's smooth and cuts well with my digital die cutter. I also love the texture that Bazzill offers.

I prefer Stampin Up cardstock, but I agree the white is a little on the light side. I've used Bazzill and Papertrey with good results.

Cardstock available here is not branded, so I cannot mention any brand name. But, surely I do prefer the thicker one for the same reasons as you mentioned.
