Black & White plus

Good Morning.  And thank you for stopping by.  Today, over @ Our Creative Corner, Tui is our hostess.  And, let me just warn you, she is very creative and a super clever girl.  She makes some beautiful paper crafts!  Tui wants us to make a paper craft item using Black and White, with a splash of color.  Ok, I have a difficult time making black and white cards.  For some reason, I can make black and cream, but white!  It really makes me crazy.  I don't know if its because they are opposites, or so contrasting, or what.  So, I made a Black and White card.  I used Lemon Whip as my splash of color.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with Lemon Whip, it is a soft delicate yellow.  Pale yellow.  But its pretty.
Back to my card.  I know the first thing folks think of is a wedding card.  I didn't want to follow the herd. So, I made a 'Thank You' card, without saying 'thank you'.  Pretty funny, huh?  Without further delay, here is my card:

Ok, in my usual fashion, there are a lot of different products used to create this card.  But, as most of you know, I am a BIG fan of 'use what you have'.  You can easily spend a million dollars buying stuff, but use what you have.  Stop hoarding your crafting supplies.  Trust me, that perfect paper craft item isn't going to know that you used that special ribbon, or bling on another project.
Ok, the paper is Paper Studio, purchased from a big box craft store.  The ribbon is from Amuse.  The fabric is left over scraps of taffeta and tule.  That gorgeous rhinestone brad center is from House of Three. The tag I stamped in black ink.  The sentiment is from a word set from Paper Trey Ink.  The card stock and black ink are from Stampin' Up!.
I made the flower by cutting two different size circles from the fabric and used my heat gun to curl the edges.  Stacked the 'circles' off center and added the brad.  Easy peasy!  The tag is attached to the tail of ribbon with a black brad.
Now, lets see what you create with Black and White, with a splash of colour.  Remember, it can be any color, but just a splash.
