Eskimo Kisses

It's Saturday, and I hope this finds all of you finishing your holiday shopping, or at least with an end in sight.  The holidays are always special in our home.  The last few years, I have given very special folks in my life hand-made holiday gifts.  This year, is no exception.  If you looked at my 'sew glad we're friends' post, that was a secret santa gift I gave a special lady in my life.
The wonderfully creative, and talented Anne Marie, from Our Creative Corner,  has given us a color challenge.  Well, I made a 3-D item.  Here is our inspiration board:

Arent' these colors just so pretty?  Well, I thought of a hundred different things to make.  And well, I came this close to making a Valentine's Day card.  That's how much I love these colors together.  But, I am in need of a gift card holder.  So, I made a little 'tote' to hold the gift card, and a few chocolate peppermint sticks.

The 'tote' is made from red riding hood red cardstock.  The ribbon is actually dyed with real red re-inker.  The pattern paper is from Basic Grey.  The button is from Paper Trey Ink.  The tag is made from a Stampin' Up! retired holiday stamp set.  I used my 2 way glue pen to adhere the glitter.  The gift card is inside the red fabric pouch inside the 'tote'.  (Yeah, its from Starbucks.)
I had a little stamping get together last weekend, and we made these little 'tote's as our make and take.  So, the ladies can vouch for me, when I say that they are quick and easy.  You can make them as simple or eleborant as you like.  I just love thier cute little size!
I had soo much fun making this, I made a pillow box, too!

I used Pink Pirouette texture cardstock to make the box.  I added some texture Pool Party cardstock and another scrap piece of Eskimo Kisses DSP.  I made a pine cone out of the scallop oval.  I added those cute little jingle bells (dusted with dazzling diamonds glitter), and some Red Riding Hood taffeta ribbon.
So, won't you join us over @ Our Creative Corner for this weeks creative color challenge?  You cant win, if you don't enter!

This is so sweet! Love the papers you chose, Sharon, and how you've created such a lovely gift tote. The ribbon/button are the perfect finisher!
