Watercolor Sketch

I also am on the Design Team for a wonderful challenge blog Creative Sketches. And this week, they have a new sketch with a technique - water coloring! How fun is that? So, here is my sample to help get you inspired and motivated!

I stamped the bird with the flowers in StazOn ink, watercolor paper, and used my Stampin' Up! water color crayons to 'color' the image. I layered different papers to give the card some interest. I tied some Very Vanilla silk ribbon around one the pattern papers and poked a fabric brad through the bow. Flayed the legs, so it would lay flat. I sponged all the edges with either the dark green ink, or a light brown ink. The upper right corner seemed 'empty', so I stamped a word there. I hope this card inspires you to play along with our challenge.
